Acolyte Training- May 1 at 4 p.m.

Eight and Ninth grade torch bearers will be trained as crucifers and youth going into the fifth grade and older will be trained as torch bearers.

Confirmation trip to St. Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue

We leave at 1:30 pm to head to the city for a little sight-seeing before Evensong at St. Thomas Church at 4 p.m.

Help our Teens Help Guests of Covenant House

Gather together all your extra travel-size toiletries (including shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, deodorant, etc) for the collection the Youth Group is gathering to take to the youth and teens at Covenant House. Donations can be left in the basket in the narthex or in the church office.

Confirmation Classes- begin Sunday, Jan 10 at 11:30 a.m.

Youth in 9th grade an older prepare for Confirmation in Spring 2010. Classes meet in the Upper Room. Dates:
Jan 10, January 24, January 31, February 21, February 28, March 7, March 14, March 21, April 18.

Christmas Party and Caroling to the homebound

We meet at the rectory at 4 pm for a party and then head out to carol, joined by youth, teens , and adults to sing to our home-bound parishioners. Our first stop is the Senior Manor at 5:15 p.m.

Youth Group

Youth Group is for youth and teens in grades 6 and up. Look for a calendar of activities on this page, in the bulletins, and in the Visitor.

Grace Dance Consort

Judy Burwell is offering free dance and performance classes for ages second grade and older. Judy is a dance instructor, choreographer, and director of the Grace Dance Consort. Classes begin in October and last 45 minutes in length. Call the church office for more information and class schedule.

A Happening! Youth Homeless Night Out – Friday, June 19

Youth from churches around Nutley will spend the night on the Church lawn in cardboard boxes to raise money and awareness for the homeless. On Friday night they will eat dinner from whatever they have collected from food barrels, hear from a homeless person, and spend the night outside. On Saturday they will be out early after a good breakfast and some discussion. Please call the office to enroll. Friends and Family are welcome to spend the night with them. Volunteers to spend the night are also welcome.
